National Football Museum

England's national sport is celebrated at the National Football Museum, in Preston.

The museum charts the development of the sport, its pioneers and famous figures.

It tells the story of professionalism within the game and how players of the past had to cope with the restrictions of the maximum wage.

The museum is located at Preston North End's Deepdale stadium and details of opening times and admission are on the official museum website.

Worksheets and educational aids are available to schools and teachers and there is a large footballing archive - as well as a wealth of memorabilia and other exhibits.
